The metrostation by visual artist Willem de Haan (1996) connects the periphery with the metronetwork of the Randstand, punching the invisible border that seems to lie between the North and the South. By invitation of Kunstinitiatief Voorheen de Gemeente the metrostation will temporarily move to the roundabout at the Julianalaan, connecting the Kurioschurch, the Catholic Elementary School Sint Paulus, the Friesland College and the neighborhoods of Nijlân en Huizum-West.
Other recent additions to the alternative metro-map of the Netherlands are Het kunstgemaal in Bronkhorst, Kunstenlab Deventer, Eekteweg in Haarle, Musea Zutphen en Kunstvereniging Diepenheim.
